GENTLE STRIDES HIPPOTHERAPY

AND THERAPEUTIC RIDING

The Power of Therapy on Horseback

At our ranch, hippotherapy is provided by Brenda Bogard, PT.
Hippotherapy is a form of treatment using the horse’s movement as a therapy tool to improve neurological functioning and sensory processing. All ages and conditions can be treated with hippotherapy; however, it is especially helpful for neuromuscular and sensory deficits associated with autism, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, down syndrome, brain injuries, and developmental delays. Therapeutic Riding sessions are provided by Nellie Ashton, expert riding instructor. Therapeutic riding is an adapted recreational lesson focused on riding skills, confidence, and emotional well‑being.

At Gentle Strides Hippotherapy, our Therapeutic Riding sessions enhance motor skills and boost confidence through the joy of horseback riding. Tailored for individuals with a range of disabilities, these recreational lessons focus on riding skills, emotional well-being, and personal growth. Equine-Assisted Sensory Integration

A ground-based program where children foster emotional regulation through tactile interaction and care for our steady equine friends.

Equine-Assisted Sensory Integration

We believe the rhythmic connection between horse and rider fosters a unique and transformative path to strength, confidence, and independence.

The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the Lord.
